On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, we are delighted to welcome all the delegates and their guests once again to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the 40th Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) Meeting and its co-located events that will take place from August 10 to 14, 2015. This is Malaysia’s third time as the host for this conference devoted towards advanced network technologies and applications-providing a platform for participants to exchange ideas, discover novel opportunities, reacquaint with colleagues, meet new friends, and broaden their knowledge. The conference will be held at University of Malaya, the oldest and most prestigious Malaysian university located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the Capital City of Malaysia.
The theme of the 40th APAN Meeting is “Tech Rumble in the Jungle”; it will broadly cover network and application technologies, as well as case studies of advanced networking in Applications area (Agriculture, Medicine, Public Health, earth monitoring, disaster mitigation, e-culture and heritage, Identity and Access Management, ICT-enhanced Learning, Cloud, etc.) and Network Technologies area (Software Defined Network, Network Security, Future Internet Test-bed, Network Engineering, IPv6, Huge Data Transfer, Internet of Things, Unified Communication, etc). There will be plenty of opportunity to interact with colleagues from Asia-Pacific advanced networking and research communities and beyond during the 5-day event consisting of tutorials, workshops, demonstrations and presentations.
After the conference and in line with the theme, we would greatly encourage all delegates and their guests to spend some time exploring Malaysia’s tropical rainforest, one of the top 12 mega-diverse areas of the world. All members of the Local Organizing Committee wish you a superb conference experience and a memorable stay in Malaysia.
